Human Resources, Director
Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent recruitment and acquisition, employee career development, retention programs, training and leadership development.
Develop and oversee administration of wage & salary programs; including establishment and annual review of salary ranges, rate review and promotional increase process, bonus programs, etc.
Manage health & welfare including program administration, annual open enrollment, contract negotiation processes and vendor management.
Administer benefit programs including negotiations with broker/vendors ensuring that the most cost-effective and comprehensive benefits are provided to employees.
Ensure compliance with domestic and global HR employment laws and regulations.
Coach managers regarding organizational and personnel challenges and opportunities.
Partner with business managers to develop and implement people management disciplines that supports employee engagement and retention.
Develop and implement strategic and tactical human resource initiatives that align with the company’s mission supporting employee resourcing, compensation and benefits, performance management, training & development and employee relations.
Work with all employees and managers on sensitivity and cultural education and training.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and work closely with external counsel to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
Compile information for routine reporting and analysis (e.g. wage/salary analysis, retention, state/federal reporting and benefits).
Qualifications and Experiences:
Brings a breadth of experience resulting from successfully managing customary Human Resources activities such as employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, teaming, company morale and employee services.
8 – 10+ years of progressively responsible experience within HR including employee data management, reporting and analytics.
Ability to develop cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization internally and externally.
Ability to collect, assimilate and analyze data. Must be proficient in Excel and extremely detail-oriented. Familiarity with Paycheck would be helpful.
Knowledge of staffing and compensation strategies, practices and processes.
Knowledge of state and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge of Equal Employment, Affirmative Action, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, unemployment, workers compensation, investigation processes, compensation practices and benefit programs.
