Lisa Milano, Psy.D. is an experienced internal and external consultant who works with executives to drive achievement of corporate goals. Her approach is to establish talent related strategies that are rooted in data and measured through relevant metrics. Dr. Milano has worked in both the Operations and HR functions within global companies, helping to shape the knowledge, behaviors and perspectives of staff.
This is Lisa’s second tour of duty at BeamPines. During her first experience, Lisa’s project work included assessments for selection and development, learning modules for coaching and change, and organizational assessments for corporate strategy. Her clients spanned various industries and included Hartford Healthcare, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, St Joseph Hospital, The Medicine’s Company, Active International, Raytheon, Troy, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Advance Pierre, and Key Bank.
Lisa previously worked for GCG, a legal services company (recently acquired by Epiq) as their Senior Manager of Organizational Development. While in this role, she used quantitative and qualitative approaches to identify core competencies and developed strategies to leverage the strengths and develop key areas of opportunity among its employees. As part of her responsibilities, Dr. Milano headed learning and development with the structuring and rollout of their first e-learning platform in addition to the construction of employee learning paths. Additionally, Lisa drove cultural development initiatives through the design and coordination of the company’s first ever mentoring program and Learning from Leaders series.
Dr. Milano is versed in the use of individual, group and organizational assessments. Specifically, she is certified in the NBI, EQi and experienced in the analysis of various industry recognized, personality, skills, and critical thinking assessments.
Lisa holds a doctorate in Organizational Psychology from Rutgers University, where she completed a dissertation that explored the role of race in salary negotiation. She has also contributed to the academic world as an adjunct professor of psychology and by teaching modules in the BeamPines/Middlesex University Master’s Program in Executive Coaching.
In her approach to consulting, Dr. Milano believes communicating clear messages, providing necessary resources, and identifying behaviors and indicators that lead to success are crucial elements of any successful talent strategy.
